dcammueYesterday, i meet with Kara, Ben, Josh and thomasboimah, we discussed on how we can start to hack on the Matorral project by making our contributions. some items we discussed were notification and calendar features while we agreed to think on more better feature to add. today i will be looking at some Django documentation. no blocker.12:00

thomasboimahOn Wednesday and Yesterday I continued my investigation into whether we should host the GnuCash database on Mayfirst or stay with our current Linode setup. Focusing on simplicity as the main factor since the business team will be the ones using GnuCash regularly. If we move to Mayfirst, users would need to use SSH tunneling every time they want to work, which means opening a terminal, running a command, and keeping it open while using GnuCash. 12:00
thomasboimahFor me as a developer, that's no problem, but for the business team who just need to focus on bookkeeping, this extra step could be frustrating and lead to confusion every single time they want to do their work. On Linode, they can simply open GnuCash and connect directly with no extra steps. Based on this investigation and focusing on what's simplest for the business team, my recommendation is that we stay on Linode so they have a frictionless 12:00
